Qammieh Reef

Qammieh Reef, also known as Devil’s Reef, is located at the western end of Marfa in Malta.

Qammieh reef offers a great dive for both inexperienced and experienced divers. A boat dive,  only a few minutes boat ride from Cirkewwa South quay, this reef is very reach in marine life. The top of the reef site at 9M deep (perfect for stops) but reef wall (South west) drops down steeply to 40 – 45M, and also to depths of + 70M on the north westerly edge of the reef.

The shallow part of the wall (30M) following the reef southerly, has few caves and caverns including a swim-through.  Caution must be taken due to the silty/sandy bottom. Proper cavern and cave diving techniques highly recommended.

Pelagic fish and barracudas are common sightings. If you are extremely lucky, a curious dolphin might  check you out.  Good luck and enjoy
